We have received notification of various updates and renovation projects.

SA Express (Southern Africa) will be offering a series of new routes. As of 18 November 2019, flights will commence from Johannesburg to Bulawayo in Zimbabwe. Daily flights will be operating except on a Wednesday. SA Express will also be offering flights between Cape Town and East London (four frequencies per week), East London and Mthatha and Mthatha and Cape Town (three frequencies per week).

Delaire Graff Lodges & Spa (Stellenbosch, Cape Winelands) will be closed over the winter months from 01 may 2020 until 17 July 2020, including Indochine Restaurant, re-opening for guests on 18 July 2020. Delaire Graff Restaurant, the Wine Lounge and the boutiques (Graff, Capri and Vana) will be open during the winter closure and will not be affected by the refurbishment at Delaire Graff Lodges & Spa.

The Paddle Cruiser (Featherbed Nature Reserve, Knysna) is still undergoing extensive renovations and they are in the final phase, an update will be sent as to when it will be fully operational again. The John Benn is currently being used and the dinner buffet is being held at the Cruise Café restaurant.

Sun City’s (North West, South Africa) Soho pool as well as the pool bar will be closed for the period 04 November 2019 until 18 November due to the Nedbank Golf Challenge. The pools at the Cabanas or the Cascades Hotel may be used.  Please also note that the Valley of the Waves will be closed on 14 November 2019 and 07 December 2019 for private functions.

Legend Hospitality Group has cancelled the management agreement of Entabeni Safari Conservancy (Limpopo, South Africa) as well as Legend Golf Resort & Spa. A final handover to IFA Hotel & Resorts has been completed and they will now oversee the management. A reminder that the Legend Golf & Safari Resort is currently closed for renovations.

Monzi Safari Lodge (St Lucia, South Africa) has changed its name to Urban Glamping Luxury Tented Village.

Camp Kwando (Caprivi, Namibia) have advised that boat activities will be on offer on a limited basis as the water level of the Kwando River is low and there is a possibility of the boats hurting hippos in the shallow. We will keep you updated as to any changes.

Davison’s (Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe) will be closed for the period 27 November 2019 until 10 December 2019 inclusive, to re-do the decking around the swimming pool. At the same time, Operations will be building a new elevated toilet at the Madison Pan Star Bed so that guests do not have to go downstairs to use the toilet.

Pangolin Voyager Houseboat (Chobe, Botswana) will be out of service for the period 01 November 2019 until 29 February 2020 for upgrades to its infrastructure, décor and mechanics.
