What to Do
Arrive in style
The Bazaruto Archipelago in the Mozambique Channel is stylishly accessed by charter flights from South Africa and a breath-taking helicopter fly-in from Vilanculos to your group’s island lodge.
Enjoy a sumptuous lunch on the beach
Lavish lunches on powder-white beaches at the edge of the turquoise sea are typically tropical feasts with an abundance of seafood, redolent with the flavors of exotic spices and coconut.
Immerse yourself in the blue waters to see what you can see
Dive or snorkel over the wild underwater seascapes of the Bazaruto Marine National Park where the water temperature rarely drops below 26 degrees. The colorful reefs are dazzling, and guests have the opportunity to spot the rare dugong, encounter dolphin or glide with sunfish.
Set off by boat to Pansy Island
Transfer by boat to the north of Benguerra Island where rugs are spread out on pure white sand and lunch is to be served in the shade of colorful umbrellas. Enjoy a variety of beach and water sports, or a quiet stroll to search for the delicate pansy shell that gives this slice of paradise its name.
Enjoy action-packed water and beach sports
Water-skiing, wake boarding, sailing, kayaking and windsurfing, as well as dune-boarding on the beaches, all provide guests with a range of action-packed activities that provide exciting team-building options.
Venture to the Quirimbas and take the Ibo Island tour
Skim across the translucent sea to the Quirimbas archipelago, where the depths of history are revealed in the forts and traditional silversmiths of Ibo Island. Here the legacies of centuries-old slavery and colonialism highlight the extraordinary resilience and fortitude of Mozambique’s island people.
Savour a sunset dhow cruise
No visit to Southern Africa’s spectacular Indian Ocean Islands would be complete without a sunset cruise on an original dhow.
