No Plastic Bags Please…

No Plastic Bags Please…

10/10/2017
Earlier this year Kenya became the latest country to ban plastic carrier bags in an effort to curb widespread littering and rising dump sites.

Travellers visiting Kenya are asked to respect this regulation by not bringing them into the country; whether as carry-on or in luggage. Being in possession of a plastic bag is considered an offence and violators may be penalized. So remember, if you are doing some last minute airport and duty-free shopping, remove the plastic bags (or don’t take one) before boarding your flight to Kenya and perhaps throw in a light and foldable fabric carrier bag for the bits and bops you might purchase during your travels.

Let’s support Kenya in their quest to become a plastic bag free environment!
