The optimal time to visit the area is between July and August when the Okavango Delta swells with floodwaters from Angola that have slowly made their way down, reshaping the Delta into a glittering labyrinth of lagoons and channels. The water attracts an abundance of wildlife, bird and fish species, making this the best time to explore one of the few remaining wetland wildernesses.
