The Sabi Sands Game Reserve is one of the most famous game reserves in South Africa and is home to Earth Lodge, a safari lodge that is part of National Geographic’s Unique Lodges of the World.

This eco-lodge was designed to have as minimal impact on the environment as possible and has been described as Africa’s most environmentally sensitive lodge. Careful consideration of the local wildlife led them to construct the lodge in an area of unpalatable grass as to not inhibit the local grazers. The lodge itself has been sculpted into a slope of the earth, making it nearly invisible in the vast landscape.

The Luxury Suites at Earth Lodge have recently been refurbished and the new features include a terrace lounge as well as an adjoining full-length pool. The Lounge is decorated with timber fans, an oversized couch, a handmade Zambezi hardwood coffee table and a leather hanging sling chair.
