Day 1: Arrive Maun - Eagle Island Lodge

On arrival at Maun International Airport take a scheduled small charter flight to Eagle Island Lodge airstrip. (Luggage restrictions apply)

Eagle Island Lodge, A Belmond Safari

Situated in Botswana’s enigmatic Okavango Delta, Eagle Island Camp is set on a remote island enmeshed in waterways and lush vegetation. Guests here will dip into an exotic world of an abundance of animal, bird and plant species. An ultimate luxury safari destination, there are a variety of ways to explore this natural wonderland – by traditional mokoro canoe trip, bush walks, helicopter safari or guided game drive. Guests will stay in elevated tents, all with private viewing decks and luxurious appointed in classic contemporary safari style. Decks are completed with hammocks and easy chairs for some lazy game viewing. Dinner can also be served on the privacy of the deck, in the bush or enjoyed in the open-air dining room, adjacent to the bar. There is a swimming pool on site as well as a curio shop and small reference library. This is a popular destination for anglers and birders.

 

Day 2: Eagle Island Lodge

Enjoy a full day at Eagle Island Lodge, Africa’s ultimate water-focused safari destination. Set off on an adventure and get up close with elephant, buffalo, hippo, crocodile, big cats and more. So many activities to choose from: Traditional mokoro canoe safari, helicopter safari, guided horseback safari, motorised boat and barge cruises, visit neighboring Nxhoga village for authentic insight into the Botswana way of life, walking safari, fishing, bird watching or just relax at the lodge beside your private plunge pool, watching the wildlife from your balcony.

Day 3: Eagle Island Lodge - Savute Elephant Lodge

Enjoy the morning at the lodge to take part in some additional activities and before midday, take another scheduled small charter flight from Eagle Island Lodge Airstrip to Savute Elephant Lodge Airstrip (luggage restrictions apply) Spend the afternoon at Savute Elephant Lodge, a timeless explorer’s lodge beside the mysterious Savute Channel. Relax and unwind at the lodge, or head out on a game drive to encounter Africa’s largest elephant population, and possibly even spot lions, wild dogs, leopards, cheetahs and hyenas.

Savute Elephant Lodge, A Belmond Safari

Located in the Savute part of prestigious Chobe National Park in Botswana, Belmond Savute Elephant Lodge epitomises the African safari experience. Besides the abundance of surrounding wildlife, this part of the park is also home to ancient rock paintings. The 12 rooms at the lodge are set on raised wooden platforms and each boasts a comfortable outdoor lounge, perfect for game viewing, with traditional thatched roof. Days are spent lazing on the deck in chairs or hammock between exciting game drives to view the largest concentration of elephant in Africa, along with a diverse collection of mammals and Africa’s fiercest predators. The swimming pool offers some respite from the African sun and the fine-dining menu can be enjoyed outdoors in the traditional boma or in the privacy of the outdoor lounge attached to each room. A private landing strip, curio shop, comfortable communal lounge, as well as a reference library and satellite TV access complete the offering.

Day 4: Savute Elephant Lodge

Spend the entire day exploring the Savute, or venture out on a game drive in search of the Big 5. Go see the collection of bushmen paintings and amazing baobab grove, or just enjoy some bird watching from your outdoor lounge. Gather round the campfire at night and exchange stories of your day’s adventures, and later in the evening, enjoy some delightful stargazing with use of powerful telescopes discovering how Bushmen used the stars to locate the true south.

Day 5: Savute Elephant Lodge - Victoria Falls

Enjoy your morning at the lodge and later board a scheduled small charter flight from Savute Elephant Lodge Airstrip to Kasane International Airport (luggage restrictions apply) Private transfer with an English-speaking driver from Kasane International Airport to Victoria Falls Hotel. Check-in and enjoy afternoon at leisure. Victoria Falls Hotel has the perfect location, not only offering the best views of the Falls gorge and bridge, but also within easy walking distance to quaint little touristy shops, local markets and restaurants

Victoria Falls Hotel

The Victoria Falls Hotel is the epitome of colonial grandeur close to one of nature’s greatest spectacles, the mighty Victoria Falls. The hotel is over a century old and was originally built in 1904 as accommodation for the workers building the Victoria Falls Bridge. The bridge was the brainchild of Cecil John Rhodes who dreamt of a railway stretching from the Cape to Cairo. A steam train trip is a bucket list item when staying at the Victoria Falls Hotel as well as sipping a G&T on the veranda during a famous Victoria Falls Hotel High Tea. The hotel is a private walkway that leads directly to the ‘Smoke that Thunders’.

Day 6: Victoria Falls

Victoria Falls, one of the world’s most majestic wonders, has so many optional activities to enjoy. Experience the falls from the sky, on foot or from the Zambezi River. A guided tour of the Falls, also called the “Smoke that Thunders”, should be right at the top of your list, followed by a “flight of angels” - a scenic helicopter flight over the Falls, ending the day with a sunset cruise on the Zambezi watching the African sun go to rest. You have the entire day to discover and explore!

Day 7: Victoria Falls - Cape Town

Private Transfer with an English-speaking driver from Victoria Falls Hotel to Victoria Falls International Airport Scheduled flight from Victoria Falls to Cape Town (Excluded and for own arrangement) Welcome to the Mother City! Private transfer with English speaking driver from Cape Town International Airport to Mount Nelson Hotel. Check-in and enjoy rest of day at leisure.

The Pink Lady of Cape Town, the Belmond Mount Nelson Hotel has been a legendary and luxurious resort since 1899. Many a famous face has revelled in a stay at this iconic Cape Town hotel. It is the ideal romantic urban paradise; the gardens rolling lawns have two heated swimming pools as well as a secluded rose garden. The Afternoon Tea Buffet is world-famous and happens daily, the Planet Champagne and Cocktail Bar is an idyllic sundowner spot and Librisa Spa is where you will leave rejuvenated. The hotel has seven different wings and each wing has a different view, mood and style, making the hotel a bit of an adventure in itself.

Day 8-9: Cape Town

Enjoy two full days to discover Cape Town and surrounds. Some of the top iconic attractions would be to visit Table Mountain by cable car, visit the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, Cape Point and African penguin colony, Robben Island ferry and island tour and last but not least, the fabulous Cape Winelands with plenty of wineries to enjoy tastings and cellar tours, complimented with fine cuisine.

Day 10: Cape Town - Departure
