A couple of our curious team members were pleasantly surprised when we decided to inspect the 5-star luxurious Table Bay Hotel to see what’s new and what’s different.
We were swiftly greeted by friendly staff, who welcomed us with the new COVID-19 arrival procedure. Quick and efficient, you sanitize your hands, have your temperature taken, scan the QR code and complete your personal details to gain access to grand luxury.
The Table Bay Hotel’s iconic Festive Season decorations are definitely a show stopper, giving us all a warm fuzzy feeling of happiness, amidst this very surreal pandemic. Oscar the seal, is all dressed up in sparkly bits and bobs, the Ginger Bread man lounges in a chair, and the lobby and lounge are decorated beautifully in traditional Christmas decorations creating a true festive spirit.
The friendly staff are heart-warming; we enjoyed a refreshing juice on arrival and walked through all the facilities, even inspecting some of the rooms. The Table Bay Hotel is still lovely as ever and remains one of our favourite as it has the most perfect location in the V&A Waterfront, with direct access to hundreds of shops and restaurants. And of course, it has the best views of Table Mountain. You are able to choose a mountain facing room, which gives you incredible views of the mountain, or sea facing room that gives you a vast sea view of the Atlantic Ocean and Robben Island.
We were once again very impressed, and happy with all the efforts that are being maintained to keep our guests’ safe. Watch this awesome video for details:
We give The Table Bay Hotel a ten out of ten and we can most definitely say with confidence we highly recommend this hotel when planning a visit to our Mother City, Cape Town.
