Spend the next leg of your journey in the Cape Winelands where gourmet food and award-winning wines marry to create the perfect culinary experience. Your culinary exploration ends at Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve where food is an art form.

Day 1: Cape Town
Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport you collect your rental vehicle and travel to Cellars-Hohenhort Hotel. The Cellars-Hohenort Hotel is in the remarkable and prestigious Constantia Wine Valley. It affiliated with the ‘Relais & Chateaux’ hotel portfolio. Relais & Chateaux only represent the finest and most beautiful retreats in the world, which aptly describes this magnificent property. This five star hotel combines two great traditions, the historical Hohenort Manor House and the Cellars in the 18th century Klaasenbosch Wine Estate. It’s a spectacular natural wonderland with rose and herb gardens, a small citrus orchard, a vineyard and arranged waterfalls. The Greenhouse Restaurant is a culinary delight showcasing a diverse South African based menu with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and the Conservancy Restaurant is built around an enormous 300 year old oak tree. Day 2: Cape Town
After breakfast, you will depart for the Cape Town City Foodie Tour. This is where you will revel in flavours that are unique to South Africa and Cape Town. You will visit an artisanal coffee roaster, take a walk to a meat merchant for some biltong, visit the famous brightly colored houses of the Bo-Kaap and delve into Cape Malay cuisine and, finally, visit an exclusive wine bar for tastings of local and rare boutique South African wines. Day 3: Cape Town
Today you are free explore the Mother City! The Woodstock Gin Company is also the ideal place to get acquainted with the trending Cape Town gin scene or you could grab a G&T at the Cape Town Gin & Spirits Company (cost for your own account). The city is both a cultural and culinary melting pot, a bubbling stew of flavours and fragrances. Overnight at the Cellars-Hohenhort Hotel. [B]
Day 4 - 5: Cape Winelands
After breakfast, you start your journey to the Winelands and the iconic Spier Wine Estate. Spier Wine Estate is an all encompassing experience in the Cape Winelands, an area of noted natural beauty and the finest wine. Spier Wine Estate has been growing grapes and making wines since the early 1700’s. The hotel has an ambience that is sophisticated and funky with vibrant decor and an extensive contemporary South African art collection. The estate has a variety of wining and dining venues, the popular Eagle Encounters, segway tours, a 1000 seater open-air amphitheatre as well as audio tours of the Spier farmstead. Dining options include Eight restaurant with produce sourced both on-site and locally from ethical and organic farmers, Eight-To-Go Deli for delicious ready-to-eat food and plenty of picnic sites. The Camelot Spa is on site to offer quality and holistic health and beauty treatments and there are regular art exhibitions held on the property as well as an extensive collection of African arts and crafts for sale.
Day 6 - 8: Bushmanskloof Wilderness Reserve
After breakfast, you will drive to Bushmanskloof Wilderness Reserve. The Bushman’s Kloof Wilderness Reserve lies at the foothills of the Cederberg Mountains in South Africa and is an area of extreme natural beauty. This five star retreat is the quintessential wilderness escape; a place to restore mind, body and soul. Spend your days being pampered at the health and beauty spa or swim in rock pools near waterfalls. This reserve has been declared a South African Natural Heritage Site and is a member of the prestigious Relais & Chateaux hotels. The lodge is also celebrated for its cuisine. Ingredients are harvested directly from the lodge’s vegetable, fruit and herb gardens and paired with award-winning South African wines.
Day 9:
After breakfast, you will continue to Cape Town International Airport to drop off your rental vehicle and continue with your onward travel arrangements.
