Schedule
South African rail suppliers operate on a shared rail network and can therefore be confronted with circumstances beyond their control. It is advisable not to book connecting flights and scheduled tours directly following a train trip; rather add an overnight at the arrival destination, alleviating any stresses of onward travel on the same day.

Dress Code
The dress code on rail journeys is smart casual during the day while evening attire is more formal. A jacket and tie are a minimum requirement for gentlemen. For off-train excursions, we recommend comfortable walking shoes, sun lotion and a hat.

Health
Please remember to advise of any medical conditions, physical disabilities or allergies. Kindly also provide full dietary requirements prior to travel in order for necessary arrangements to be made.

Electronic Devices
There are no radios or televisions on-board and mobile devices are for use in the privacy of your suite only. Reception can be poor and Internet access limited. There is no Wi-Fi available on the train.
